This is the one-scan I did. I took a few of my scarves and just layered them on top of the scanner. I had to do it a few times to get the right amount of light without the scarves looking squashed from pressing down the scanner. I also boosted the saturation and brightness a little.
This is a collage I made from several different things I scanned. I took some cds and album covers from my car and scanned each of them individually. Then I layered them on top of each other and used several different blending layers. I used vivid light for the layers that had text in them. I also used pin light and overlay in a couple other layers such as the cd's. I adjusted the opacity levels and then added a burn border in blue around the whole collage. The images below are the individually scanned items.
